Requirements for entrance to the BAS Hons programme

Applicants with a Bachelor of Architectural Studies degree from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University with a minimum of 60% marks in their third year Design module will be granted admission into the BAS Hons programme.

 

Candidates who do not comply with this requirement may be admitted if they have, inter alia

Obtained BAS degree or equivalent from another university (National or International) with a design mark of minimum 60% for third year design module.

These applicants must apply with a portfolio of works.

Please note that due to COVID19 the interview will be held on a digital platform, with a digital portfolio. More information will be given once the applicant applied.

Candidates who do not comply with this requirement may be admitted if they have, inter alia

Obtained BAS degree with third year Design module with marks between 50% to 59% and completed at least one year of professional work with a firm of architects

The applicant must apply for admission to the admission office of the University using the online system. Applicants must indicate to Mr Basson (information top right) that they would wish to use the RPL opportunity, where more information will be shared and should present a design project (brief will be provided) and a portfolio of works during the end of year portfolio review.
